EXTERNALIZING THE ACTIVITY
AN OVERVIEW OF THE NEW PLANTDespite its recent introduction, the injection molding activity showed a significant growth in SKG's main site
Starting from January 2018, the injection molding was externalized to a new production plant in Thyna (about 15 km from the mains site)
The new facility is equipped with four molding machines having a tonnage that varies from 100 tons to 160 tons

Four injection molding machines with technical characteristics responding to the customers different requirements.
Two Arburg machines mainly sourced for the automotive market needs (100T and 160T)
Workforce
SKG Thyna's staff is actually composed of:
- Two injection supervisors
- Quality control team: 3 operators

Nine other operators working on molding machines,
assembling lines and cleaning - A plant coordinator
A well trained team to cope with the automotive market's highest challenges.
With a storage capacity of around 70 pallets, the warehouse is used for stocking raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
A daily flow between the two production sites to ensure the chrome plating of the injected parts and the assembly of the semi-finished parts.
MRP has been maintained to follow-up the different components’ stock levels.
